General Information: Alteromonas macleodii 'Deep ecotype' was isolated from seawater obtained at a depth of 3500 meters from the Urania Basin in the Mediterranean Sea by plating. Alteromonas macleodii is an obligate marine bacterium isolated from both surface and deep seawater and often associated with particulate matter.
