General Information: Aggregatibacter aphrophilus (formerly Haemophilus aphrophilus) is an etiologic agent in infectious endocarditis caused by gram-negative bacteria. It is often found as a nonpathogenic, commensal resident of dental plaque and the oropharyngeal flora.
