NC_008578:889907 Acidothermus cellulolyticus 11B, complete genome
Host Lineage: Acidothermus cellulolyticus; Acidothermus; Acidothermaceae; Actinomycetales; Actinobacteria; Bacteria
General Information: This organism is a thermotolerant cellulolytic actinomycete that was originally isolated from an acidic hot spring in Yellowstone National Park. A number of thermostable endoglucanases are produced by this organism, which are useful for degrading cellulose in the production of ethanol as a biofuel.
