Facultative photoheterotrophic betaproteobacterium. Aerobic growth and fermentative growth are also possible. Utilizes a diverse array of different carbon sources, including hydrolyzed starch and gelatin. Capable of fixing carbon and nitrogen. Isolated from food wastewater in Nagano, Japan.
