This species produces a yellow pigment when grown at 30 degrees C, but this fades at 37 degrees C.

General Information: Escherichia fergusonii ATCC 35469 was isolated from human feces. Escherichia fergusonii is a member of normal gastrointestinal flora, however, it has been isolated from cases of wound and urinary tract infections.
