General Information: Brachyspira pilosicoli is an anaerobic spirochete that colonizes the large intestine of various species of birds and animals and humans. It attaches to colonic enterocytes in a condition called 'intestinal spirochetosis', characterized by mild colitis, diarrhea and reduced growth.

General Information: Causes conjunctivitis in guinea pigs. Bacteria belonging to the Chlamydiales group are obligate intracellular parasites of eukaryotic cells. They are found within vertebrates, invertebrate cells, and amoebae hosts. Chlamydiae are one of the commonest causes of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and if left untreated may cause infertility in women.
