General Information: Butyrivibrio proteoclasticus, formerly Clostridium proteoclasticum, was isolated from rumen contents of a cow. This organism is highly proteolytic and therefore probably involved in the degradation of proteins in the rumen.

General Information: Brucella microti was isolated in 2000 from systemically infected voles in South Moravia, Czech Republic and has been more recently isolated from foxes and apparently free-living in soil in Czech soil.
