General Information: This type strain was isolated from the bronchus of a male Japanese patient. Opportunistic human pathogen. Organisms in this genus cause opportunistic human pulmonary and systemic nocardiosis. This can complicate existing debilitating conditions such as leukemia, lymphoma, or other neoplasms, or illnesses in patients with compromised immune systems.
