General Information: Bordetella petrii strain DSM12804 was initially isolated from river sediment. Unlike other members of the genus, this organism is not known to be associated with humans or other warm-blooded animals. Bordetella petrii also differs from other Bordetella species in that it is a facultative anaerobe.
