Query: NC_006361:498305 Nocardia farcinica IFM 10152, complete genome

Lineage: Nocardia farcinica; Nocardia; Nocardiaceae; Actinomycetales; Actinobacteria; Bacteria

General Information: This type strain was isolated from the bronchus of a male Japanese patient. Opportunistic human pathogen. This genus was originally described from specimens isolated by plating soil suspensions on diagnostic sensitivity test plates augmented with antifungal agents. Organisms in this genus cause opportunistic human pulmonary and systemic nocardiosis.
