Query: NC_003911:3453764 Silicibacter pomeroyi DSS-3, complete genome Lineage: Ruegeria pomeroyi; Ruegeria; Rhodobacteraceae; Rhodobacterales; Proteobacteria; Bacteria General Information: Formerly Silicibacter pomeroyi, his marine bacterium is a member of the Roseobacter clade and was isolated off of the coast of Georgia in 1998. Dimethylsulfoniopropionate-degrading bacterium. Capable of degrading the organic sulfur compound DMSP (dimethylsulfoniopropionate) and can metabolize a number of sulfur compounds. General Information: Francisella philomiragia subsp. philomiragia ATCC 25017 was isolated from water in the Bear River Refuge in Utah, USA. Causes disease in humans and fish. Francisella philomiragia, formerly Yersinia philomiragia, has been isolated from water, muskrats, fish and humans. F. philomiragia is able to cause an often fatal bacteremia in people with chronic granulomatous disease. This supspecies can also cause pneumonia in near-drowning victims.
