General Information: This strain is a a derivative of the well-studied strain BD413 (formerly Acinetobacter calcoaceticus). It has a remarkable proficiency for natural transformation by DNA. Acinetobacter sp. strain ADP1 is a nutritionally versatile soil bacterium closely related to representatives of the well-characterized Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Pseudomonas putida.
