Query: NC_010296:1271393 Microcystis aeruginosa NIES-843, complete genome
Lineage: Microcystis aeruginosa; Microcystis; Microcystaceae; Chroococcales; Cyanobacteria; Bacteria
General Information: Toxic bloom-forming cyanobacterium. Microcystis aeruginosa is a common cyanobacterium which can form blooms from late summer to early autumn in nutrient-rich lakes, ponds, and reservoirs. Subject: NC_011830:3904034 Desulfitobacterium hafniense DCB-2, complete genome
Lineage: Desulfitobacterium hafniense; Desulfitobacterium; Peptococcaceae; Clostridiales; Firmicutes; Bacteria
General Information: This is the type strain for this species and has been isolated from municipal sludge, Denmark. It can dechlorinate chlorinated phenolic compounds such as PCBs and some pesticides. Hydrocarbon dehalogenator. This organism can dehalogenate a variety of hydrocarbons and can utilize fumarate, sulfite, and thiosulfate (but not thiousulfate) as terminal electron acceptors. Some important pollutants such as polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) may be degraded by this organism. Gram-positive, metal-reducing, dehalorespiring.
