General Information: This strain was isolated from surface sediments of a hydrocarbon-contaminated ditch in Norman, Oklahoma, USA. Common metal-reducing bacterium. This organism, similar to what is observed in Geobacter metallireducens, is one of the predominant metal-reducing bacteria found in subsurface communities.
