General Information: Staphylococcus pseudintermedius HKU10-03 was cultured from the skin swab of a dog suffering from canine pyoderma. Staphylococcus pseudintermedius is a major veterinary pathogen and is the most important cause of pyoderma in dogs and other animals. It was previously confused with the closely related species Staphylococcus intermedius.
