General Information: Mycoplasma fermentans has been isolated from the respiratory and urogenital tract, primarily from immunocompromised patients and may be a factor in the progression of HIV infection to AIDS. In addition this organism can be detected in the blood and joints of patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
