General Information: Psychromonas ingrahamii is a marine psycrophile. This organism requires salt for growth and can grow at temperatures that are below freezing. Psychromonas ingrahamii 37 was isolated from sea ice, off Point Barrow in northern Alaska, USA. This organism is able to grow at -12 degrees C, the lowest growth temperature for any bacterium to date.
